Visiting the Top 5 Beaches in New Zealand
New Zealand is a very beautiful country; if you do not believe it just carry out a bit of research on the number of movies that have been shot in this country. Some of the best sights in the world are to be found here including breathtaking hills, plains and beaches. The beaches in particular are just magnificent and here are the top five beaches that New Zealand has to offer.
Ninety Mile Beach
No, this beach does not actually stretch for ninety miles; it is just a little over 55 miles in length. Now that we have that out of the way what is so great about this beach? Well for one it is incredibly beautiful and happens to be one of the most visited beaches by tourists in New Zealand. Here you will find awesome sand dunes right next to the blue ocean waters striking the golden sandy beach; Aupouri Forest also adds to its beauty. This beach is great for surfers as it is known for its superb waves; it is located in Kaitai, Northland.
New Chums Beach
This one of New Zealand’s best kept secrets as it has not been affected by development like most other beaches in the country and indeed the world. As a result of this, getting to New Chums can prove quite challenging and therefore this is perfect for any adventurous soul looking for a thrill. To get there you will have to trek for about forty minutes through a forest, pass through a lagoon after which you will find yourself on some rocks from where you can feed your eyes on the magnificence of the beach. Here there are no ice cream parlors or anything of the sort all you will find is a forest, rocks, sand and the beautiful ocean. Without a doubt this is one of the best beaches in New Zealand.
Mission Bay
If you want some civilization as you enjoy your day at the beach then this is where you need to go. Located in Auckland, Mission Bay beach is always bustling with life; everything about the beach indicates that it is meant for the fun loving city dweller as it is dotted with numerous pubs and eating points. Here you can play with your dog, take a walk with your partner, go for a swim or just relax and enjoy the sun.
Whale Bay
There is no better word to describe this beach than paradise. The beach is found right next to Mount Karioi and the setting is perfect for utmost relaxation and fun. There is a blanket of native trees on the hills surrounding this beach hence making you feel that you are in an untainted place. Whale Beach is very popular with surfers.
Kaiteriteri Beach
This particular beach was blessed with extensive sunshine periods and therefore if you love idling under the sun, this is the perfect place. While here, you are assured of catching a glimpse of a few penguins and dolphins here and there. You can take long walks on the beach as there are quite a number of walking tracks. You can also take a dip or better yet go kayaking out in the ocean.
